Princess-Governor Adjura XII
The sole remaining member of the Bjij Royal House, and designate governor of the planet after her father's assassination. Despite her young age, she cares deeply for the people of her world and is determined to see them safe. However, she soon becomes a pawn in the machinations of both the Imperium and the Tau Empire; the first seeking to use her as a propaganda figure to bolster the war effort, whilst the second hoping to exploit her in their quest to turn the planet to the Greater Good.
'Mansion'
Designation of the command and control Marauder Vigilant reconnaissance craft overseeing Imperial forces in the Western Sandsea theatre. Although in actuality the callsign referred to the plane and its entire crew compliment, due his ever-presence in their ears, the overworked radio operator in particular has come to be regarded as the 'Mansion' by Imperial pilots in the theatre.
White Tiger
The commander and namesake of the White Tiger Air Cadre, this young Tau commander from the Yo'vai Sept is a distinguished ace and a veteran of the battles against the Death Guard for control of the Startide Nexus. Whilst largely unknown to Imperial forces prior to the outbreak of hostilities on Bjij, he soon becomes a feared opponent in the skies above the sandseas.
Por'vre Fe'saan Ruun'nami
A Water Caste ambassador from the recently established Sept of Fe'saan in the Nem'yar Atoll, she has been charged with bringing Bjij into the Tau Empire. Working with deprived oasis communities on the planet as well as amenable Imperial authorities, much of the populace's conversion to the Greater Good can be attributed to her. However, despite significant inroads, the Fire Caste wishes for a swifter compliance, breaking the uneasy truce she had fought hard to maintain and initiating a full blown war for the world.
